In order to find the importance of Empowerment Technology, we must first need to know the meaning of each word to enable us to really understand what the subject really means.
Now, when we say technology, the thing that comesfirst in our minds are computers and high-tech gadgets, but it doesn’t end with that because most of the things today made by man are technology. Next is empowerment, What does empowerment means? It is to give power to something or someone, to promote the self actualization (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) or in other words, it enables man to become more knowledgeable of certain things.
So now that you know both empowerment and technology, it is time to know what is empowerment technology is, specially it is now being taught in the k-12 program, and its importance. As we all know, in today’s generation many millennial’s lives are wasted because of cyber bullying and peer pressure. The reason behind both of these are lack of knowledge and etiquette in the ICT world. So, Empowerment Technology should be applied, to know the right way of using ICT instead of bullying others.
And to my ICT instructor, i would like to extend my deepest gratitude for molding me and helping me of becoming who I am today. Honestly, ICT is one not really my thing but because of you, I have really appreciated this certain subject. You’re the kind of teacher/adviser who’s really enthusiastic to all sorts of things, that is why I take you as one of my inspiration to do better to the things I less likely to appreciate. Sir, thanking you would not be enough for I have learnt so much from you especially with your words of wisdom. I have learnt so much life skills and life values from you. Thank you so much!
